RED, WHITE and WINDVEIL BLUE

This is a photo taken in Branchville, SC, of a series of patriotic murals on a disused building. We posted this photo last year on the 4th while we were out of the US. It seems odd to be in a foreign country on this day. It's like not being home for Christmas or having Thanksgiving dinner at Burger King.

We were glad to come back and grateful that we had one to return to.

Happy Fourth of July.

I loved your photos....I live in Indiana.....but we have vacationed on Edisto Island the past 2 winters and ventured to Charleston, Savanah, and Beaufort.....loved the people....love the area.

Thanks for the kind words, Pogren. Edisto is about the last unspoiled beach in terms of family orientation and in keeping its classic beach houses rather than building garish mansions.

We love Edisto and will be posting some photos from there tomorrow.
